Trastevere Area

Zona Trastevere Area

Tot. Accomodations:0

Originally it was the area outside Rome, because it was of little interest to the Empire, and in fact its name comes from the Latin “Trans Tiberim” that means “on the other side of the Tiber”. In this side of the Tiber, the river that crosses Rome, you can find the most popular area of the city, that recently has become of great interest to the visitors. Here you experience the feeling of stepping back in time because the steets, the alleys and the buildings have remained the same; even a few taverns, restaurants and shops are still in the same place handed down from father to son over the centuries. Now Trastevere is the main district of the Roman nightlife, because it is full of typical restaurants, bars and nighclub, where you can spend a lovely and unusual night merged in a melting-pot of different cultures, because this area is frequented by young people from all over the world. This area is fully of Romans as well as of young people coming to study or work in Rome, in fact the American John Cabbot University has its offices here and its students have become a prominent part of the people living here.
